Ode to sitting still a.k.a I’m fried and think I can write poetry

The days have passed

for sitting still and slipping away into pages of a suspenseful book

Alas, I am begrudged with too many tasks.

The days have slipped by

for sitting still and silently observing yarn and hook weaved

The timepiece moves quick and sly

The days have slipped away

for sitting still and slowly enjoying a hot mug of tea as the morning sun rises

the children awake earlier and want to start their day

The days have elapsed

for sitting still

if I find a moment for pausing for stillness

I’m usually am awaken with half a hour passed.
